This is a pattern welded gyuto, the steels used are 1095/15n20. The pattern used for this knife is a forged feather pattern. The end result is an organic and beautiful feather pattern that shows the nice veining from ripping the feather. This knife has a convex grind The grind on this knife would be my typical of my lightweight grind.

The main piece of the handle is highly figured Amboyna burl.  The ferrule on this knife is ancient fossil walrus oosik. This is one of my favorite handle combinations, the creamy oosik really accentuates the glowing red of the Amboyna burl.
