This knife was forged from iron clad san mai that was made in my shop. The iron used on this one is very finely refined and has some light character in the grain. The core steel is 1.2519 German tungsten tool steel which is similar to blue#2. This knife has a wide bevel convex grind that has been Kasumi finished on Japanese natural stones. The handle of this knife is composed of a Australian Beefwood and an African Blackwood ferrule. The handle is oval shaped.
