This is a pattern welded gyuto, the steels used are 1095/15n20. The pattern used for this knife is a forged twist pattern. The end result is an organic and beautiful pattern with repetitious twisted layers. This knife has a convex S-grind. The grind on this knife would be more of a lightweight grind versus a workhorse grind. This knife is light and fast. The main piece of the handle is highly figured California Redwood. The ferrule on this knife is African Blackwood. The handle is oval shaped.
