This knife was made from NitroV stainless. NitroV is a newer steel that is based on AEBL but has added vanadium for higher toughness. The steel takes a great edge and sharpens well. These have been heat treated to 62hrc. The grind is a thinner full convex grind that cuts really nicely. This knife is suitable for general kitchen tasks. The handle is red dyed and stabilized box elder. It had some nice figure in the wood with tons of eyes.
