This knife was forged from a single bar of 1.2519 German Tungesten steel. The steel is similar to blue2 composition. This steel is known for taking a very keen edge as well as being easily stropped back to that keen edge. It is also known for it’s toughness. The steel has been heat treated to around 64hrc. The handle of this knife is a composed of a piece of Missouri black walnut and the ferrule is African Blackwood. The walnut is a highly figured crotch piece with great chatoyance. The handle shape on this one is octagonal. This knife has a midweight convex grind and was ground convex on my rotary platen.
